The police are making a big mess today in Leesburg. A logging truck overturned this morning and closed one of the on-ramps to the Leesburg Bypass.
Here’s the latest from the Leesburg Police Department: “The ramp from South King Street to the eastbound Leesburg Bypass is currently closed due to a crash involving an overturned logging truck and trailer. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.”
Images posted on social media show the truck’s cab smashed into pieces and large wooden poles falling all over the roadway and against the ramp’s railings.

An ambulance was also at the scene. No word yet on the condition of the driver or what caused the crash.
