Mass State Police issue Amber Alert for child allegedly abducted by mother – Boston 25 News

BLANFORD, Mass. – Massachusetts State Police issued an Amber Alert Thursday for a girl who was allegedly abducted by her mother.

Cortana Goncalves, 4, has been abducted by her non-custodial birth mother, Brandee Arnold, 32, according to state police.

His daughter Arnold may be traveling in a gray 2010 Honda Accord with Massachusetts license plate 3SCG24.

Arnold allegedly took Cortana from a family gathering in violation of their custody agreement this morning.

Arnold has previously made suicidal and homicidal statements, state police said.

Cortana is described as white, about 3 feet tall, 30 to 35 pounds, with brown hair. She was last seen wearing an aqua “Hello Kitty” T-shirt and striped shorts.

Arnold was last seen on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Blandford around 9:30 a.m.

Springfield Police and Massachusetts State Police are actively searching for Arnold and Cortana.

Anyone who sees the couple is asked to contact 911.
