The Stump Speakin’ political event is scheduled for Saturday

On Saturday, June 24, there will be a lot of talk about Republican politics at an event to be held at Cedar Hill Farm near Hernando.

Homeowner Robert Foster, former state legislator, gubernatorial candidate and current candidate for DeSoto County Supervisor, has hosted this Republican “Stump Talk Event” at his farm located at 8 Love Road, Hernando.

A large list of candidates will be given time to speak to those who come, starting at 11am and expected to continue until 2pm.

However, the featured speaker will not be on the local ballot, as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) is expected to be there and address the crowd.

The candidates who will be there will range from Republicans running for state House, state Senate, county races, district attorney, sheriff, utility commissioner, as well as races in state level

Each candidate will have five minutes to argue why they should be elected to the position.

First District Congressman Trent Kelly (R-Mississippi) is also listed as an appearance on Saturday.
