After an investigation, Wichita police determined Hazelton was the shooter in the area of ​​7000 E. Lincoln on Friday. WPD said Hazelton was located and arrested without incident.

WPD said Hazelton was arrested for felony murder and discharge into an occupied vehicle.

WPD Chief Joe Sullivan addressed the larger issue of gun violence and the impact on the community. He said the cooperation of witnesses at the scene “will be one of the main reasons they solve this crime.”
