Allahabad HC will hear the petitions against Adipurush on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Allahabad High Court will hear appeals against the film Adipurush.
On Monday, the Lucknow bench of the high court allowed the petitioner’s amendment motion, which highlighted many objections to the film.
The court will consider the petitioner’s appeal to include the film’s dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir as part of the petition. The judgment was delivered by Justices Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Shree Prakash Singh in response to a PIL filed before the release of the film.
The bench issued a notice to the Central Board of Film Certification while hearing the PIL on January 10.
Meanwhile, another PIL has been filed seeking a ban on the film. The hearing of Naveen Dhawan’s petition is also scheduled for Tuesday.
Adipurush, a reworking of the epic Ramayana, has been criticized for its dialogue, colloquial language and portrayal of various characters.
MHA will conduct final security review of Amarnath Yatra on Tuesday
According to official sources, the Union Home Ministry will conduct a final security review of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir with all stakeholders on Tuesday.
The meeting will be held at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) North Block and will be chaired by Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla. According to reports, the conference would be attended by the chiefs of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) such as the CRPF, BSF and ITBP, as well as senior intelligence officials, the Army, the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Amarnath Shrine Board.
The 62-day annual pilgrimage will begin on July 1 and end on August 31.
