Ryan Seacrest to host ‘Wheel of Fortune’ after Pat Sajak

Ryan Seacrest has signed a multi-year deal to host the game show “Wheel of Fortune” starting in 2024, Sony Pictures Television announced Tuesday.

Seacrest will replace longtime host Pat Sajak, who announced he was leaving the show earlier this month. Sajak was at the helm for four decades.

“I am truly honored to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” said Seacrest. in a statement on Tuesday. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it has been a privilege and pure joy to see Pat and Vanna [White] on our TV screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel at home with them.”

Seacrest is one of the most recognized media personalities, having hosted “American Idol” and “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” He has even hosted the syndicated radio show, “On the Air with Ryan Seacrest.”
