NCP MLAs sworn in as ministers in Shinde government do not have official party support: Spokesperson
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said on Sunday that the oath taken by nine NCP MLAs as ministers in the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government has no official party support.
NCP leader Ajit Pawar was sworn in as deputy chief minister, while eight party MLAs were sworn in as ministers in the Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party (NCP)-led government.
In a video message, Tapase said that NCP party workers, district president, taluka president, youth and women are with the party’s national leader Sharad Pawar.
“The oath-taking ceremony in Maharashtra was part of Operation Lotus and is not officially supported by NCP. Those who took oath, it is their personal decision and not NCP’s,” he said.- PTI
