ORLANDO, Fla. — Update:
Heavy downpours hit Central Florida early Friday afternoon.
There could be a few more scattered storms along the coast Friday evening. Flagler County will remain under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30 p.m
Storms will move into the area even earlier Saturday.

Expect rain and some lightning after dawn until 10 a.m. Saturday near Interstate 75.
Near Interstate 4, expect thunderstorms by midday. They will move to the coast early Saturday afternoon.
Dry, dusty air from Africa that has moved into South Florida will slightly reduce the chance of rain for Sunday and Monday, especially in areas to our south.

This weekend, expect low to mid 90s in Central Florida and scattered afternoon thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.
On the beaches, the rip current risk is moderate. Remember to always swim close to a lifeguard if one is on duty.
Watching the tropics, nothing in the Atlantic to track and all is quiet.
