IBERVILLE PARISH, LA (WAFB) – Emergency officials are on the scene of multiple explosions in Iberville Parish.
According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, it appears to be near the Dow chemical plant area.
Authorities said no injuries have yet been reported.
Iberville Emergency Preparedness sent out an alert around 9:40 p.m. telling residents to stay indoors and turn off their air conditioning units.
A shelter in place has been issued for a half-mile radius.
Right now, LSP will assist with the precautionary closures of LA-1 at Sid Richardson and LA-1 at Bayou Jacob.
Officers are on scene and investigating for more information.
