NEW ENGLAND — A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for parts of Middlesex and Worcester counties until 10:15 a.m.
A tornado watch is in effect for several counties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire as severe weather moves through the area.
Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex and Worcester counties are under a tornado watch until 3 p.m.
A tornado warning has been issued for southwestern Rockingham County and southeastern Hillsborough County in southern New Hampshire, but has expired.
Middlesex County in Massachusetts was under a tornado warning until 9:15 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Middlesex County; East Essex; East Hampden; East Hampshire; East Norfolk; North Bristol; Northwest Middlesex County; South East Middlesex; south of Bristol; South Worcester; Suffolk; West Essex; West Hampden; The counties of Western Hampshire and Western Norfolk are all under a flood watch.
Boston 25 meteorologists recommend getting off the roads and staying indoors away from windows.
A tornado watch is also in effect for Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex and Worcester counties.
