As the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination heats up, Donald Trump’s legal troubles also continue to mount, as a maintenance worker has made a shocking claim about the handling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago .
The worker recalled helping to move the boxes into a storage room just one day before the Justice Department visited Mar-a-Lago for the papers, The New York Times reported.
The worker did not know what the boxes contained at the time.
The timing of the move is suspicious and a sign that there may have been obstruction, according to The Washington Post, which also reports that the move was “dressed” even before a subpoena was issued. in the boxes
This comes as Trump’s lawyers have requested a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland, marking the clearest sign yet that an indictment could be on the horizon in the classified documents case.
