TORY. YES, GOOD MORNING EVERYONE. WELL, AS FOR THE NUMBER OF POLICE CARS, WE ARE SEEING THEM GOING DOWN A LITTLE BIT. BUT THE SCENE ITSELF IS STILL VERY LONG. I MEAN, WE TOLD YOU THIS MORNING. THIS RUNS ABOUT FIVE BLOCKS HERE ON 6TH STREET IN BRADDOCK FROM WOODLAWN AVENUE ALL THE WAY TO THESE RAILROAD TRACKS. IF WE FAMILIAR WITH THIS. WE KNOW FROM DISPATCHERS THAT INITIALLY ONE PERSON HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THEY HAVE BEEN INJURED BY WHAT DEPLOYED HERE IN THE EARLY BIRTHDAY THIS MORNING AROUND 1:00 AM. BUT THE TROOPERS HAVE NOT YET RELEASED INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED. THE POLICE WERE CALLED HERE, ALTHOUGH WE KNOW ABOUT 1:00 THIS MORNING, AS I DIRECTED, THIS IS THE 100 BLOCK OF SIXTH STREET IN BRADDOCK. AND THE SCENE OF THE CRIME, AGAIN, spanning about five blocks. WE HAVE REPORTED A DOZEN LIKELY MARKERS INDICATING WHERE SOME POTENTIAL BULLETS HAD LANDED IN FRONT OF A DUPLEX HOME, WHICH IS WHERE THE POLICE ARE HEAVILY PRESENT. WE SAW TROOPERS ENTERING AND LEAVING THAT HOUSE TALKING TO THE PEOPLE INSIDE. I can even tell you that I saw a couple of soldiers searching around this house. AND EVEN A COUPLE OF BLOCKS AWAY. REMEMBER, THIS LONG TIME CRIME SCENE. THEY HAVE A LARGE PERIMETER IN THIS AREA OF BRADDOCK. So I’ve been watching the soldiers walk around with their flashlights off, looking at the grass. So, again, I approached the soldiers. I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED HERE THIS MORNING. AND THEY TELL ME THEY CAN’T HOST THIS INFORMATION YET. A shooting in Braddock early Wednesday morning sent a young man to the hospital. State police said the shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. on Sixth Street. A suspect fired multiple shots from the street at a home and a vehicle. A young man was hit while sitting inside the vehicle. The young man was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not released. A vehicle was towed from the scene at one point. The rear window appeared to have been shot out of this vehicle. The shooting remains under investigation, but state police said there is no immediate threat to the public at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 412-787-2000.

A shooting in Braddock early Wednesday morning sent a young man to the hospital.
State police said the shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. on Sixth Street. A suspect fired multiple shots from the street at a home and a vehicle. A young man was hit while sitting inside the vehicle. The young man was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not released.
A vehicle was towed from the scene at one point. The rear window appeared to be blown out of that vehicle.
The shooting remains under investigation, but state police said there is no immediate threat to the public at this time.
