TUAFC are delighted to announce that former Plymouth Argyle player Finley Craske has agreed a deal to join the Club for the 2023/24 season following a successful trial at Plainmoor.
Wadebridge-born Craske, 20, arrived at United after coming through the ranks at Argyle, where he made 9 appearances in all competitions.
Equally impressive in various defensive or midfield positions, Finley also has senior experience gained during loan spells at Yeovil Town, Plymouth Parkway and Truro City, where he helped the White Tigers achieve promotion to National League level South last term.
Having impressed everyone at Plainmoor with an excellent performance against his former club in a 1-1 draw against The Pilgrims on Tuesday evening, Gulls boss Gary Johnson spoke of his delight at adding Finley to an already impressive Torquay team, which begins the 2023. /24 campaign on August 5.
“Fin is a super athlete, and can play in a number of positions because of his football ability and competitiveness,” said the Gaffer.
“Fin had a super debut game at Plainmoor against Plymouth on Tuesday, and I’m delighted he chose us to enjoy his football.”
Having agreed a deal to become a full-fledged Gulls player, Finley will be looking to play his part in United’s final pre-season friendly against Exeter City at Plainmoor on Saturday (22/07/23 15: 00 KO), with ticket details available HERE.
This move is subject to the approval of the FA and the National League.
