Albemarle Police and the Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting in Long Lake

The Albemarle Police Department and the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting in Long Lake.
At 11:43 a.m. Saturday, Albemarle police were called to investigate after a woman on a jet ski on Long Lake in the area of Concord Road was struck by gunfire. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Albemarle Police Department and the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office are currently following leads as they search for a suspect.
