A woman and three children are dead after an hours-long standoff with an armed subject at a Verdigris home, police said.

Brandy McCaslin, 39, shot and killed her three children and then turned the gun on herself, OSBI said.
The OSBI said Verdigris officers were driving near Dogwood Court and Cyprus streets around 4 p.m. Thursday when they were flagged down to a home by fireworks going off outside the home. Investigators said police went to investigate and found a woman inside the home who was armed and barricaded.
According to the officers, the four people were found inside the house dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said they had had problems with the subject before. OSBI is investigating.
