A SWAT situation involving a gunman barricaded inside a home in a Kennesaw neighborhood has been resolved, authorities said.
The incident happened Monday afternoon at a home in the 4100 block of Kentmere Main in the Kentmere at Legacy Park neighborhood, Kennesaw police spokesman David Buchanan said. It was resolved shortly before 3 p.m., he said.
According to Buchanan, the barricaded man called 911 and told the dispatcher he had a gun. No shots were fired during the confrontation.
No one else was inside the home and there is no danger to the public, Buchanan said. No further details have been released and Kentmere Main remains blocked to all traffic except residents.
