Max Verstappen will get a replacement trophy after his Hungarian GP winning version broke down on the podium.

The reigning world champion left his first trophy on the first step of the podium when he started spraying champagne, but Lando Norris caused it to fall by hitting his bottle next to the trophy.

The force bounced it to the floor of the podium and broke the top of the porcelain keepsake.

Sky Sports reporter Craig Slater revealed on Monday, however, that Verstappen would get a new version from the trophy makers.

“The CEO of Herendi (the company that manufactures the trophies) has just released this statement.

“While they are saddened by the damage, they are recreating the broken trophy for 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix winner Max Verstappen as there is a lifetime replacement guarantee on all their products.”
