In a stunning turn of events just days before the 2023 Big Ten Media Days at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh has been officially suspended for the first four games of the 2023 season. The suspension stems from sanctions related to recruiting violations and false claims Harbaugh made to investigators earlier this offseason.

Michigan will open its season against East Carolina on Sept. 2, followed by non-conference games against UNLV and Bowling Green before starting its Big Ten schedule at home against Rutgers on Sept. 23.
Also, according to a report by Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, former defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald will receive a one-year suspension for the show.
Offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore and tight ends coach Grant Newsome are also expected to receive one-game suspensions.
