1 dead in Tampa house fire
One person died in a house fire in Tampa Tuesday night, authorities said. Firefighters responded around 11:30 pm to the 10000 block of N Dixon Avenue and found a home engulfed in flames and heavy smoke, according to Tampa Fire Rescue. Crews brought the fire under control in 15 minutes. Firefighters searched the home and found a person who was unable to escape the home and died from fire-related injuries, the department said. Farmers Insurance exits Florida, affecting 100,000 policies
Farmers Insurance said Tuesday it will stop offering coverage in Florida, ending home, auto and other policies in the state in a move that will affect tens of thousands of residents.
