Deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said the man seen in these images broke into Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue on Highway 221 N. in Rutherfordton. Phoenix man dies in possible self-inflicted accidental shooting
Phoenix police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal gunshot wound that killed 21-year-old De’Shawn Shakir Pete near 40th Avenue and Pollack Street on Monday. Police said officers responded to the area around 9 p.m. to investigate reports of an accidental self-inflicted shooting. Officers discovered Pete with a gunshot wound at the scene.
