Former first lady Melania Trump, who did not appear by her husband’s side during his recent court appearance in New Yorkhas issued its first statement since then was accused with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.
“News organizations have made assumptions about the former First Lady’s position on personal, professional and political issues in recent weeks,” Melania Trump’s Office said. he tweeted Tuesday. “In these articles, unnamed sources are cited to bolster the author’s claims.”
In a follow-up tweet, the former first lady asks readers to “use caution and good judgment when determining whether stories about the former first lady are true or not, especially when they don’t quote Mrs. Trump as to source of information”.
He also tweeted “Happy Easter!” Sunday; it was his first tweet in weeks.
Former President Donald Trump flew to New York for his appearance on April 4 and flew back to Florida as soon as it was over. That evening, he he addressed his supporters at Mar-a-Lago, his estate in Florida. Melania Trump was not by his side during the speech.
Three of the former president’s children, Donald Trump Jr., Tiffany Trump and Eric Trump, and Eric’s wife, Lara Trump, attended the Mar-a-Lago speech. Other supporters in the crowd included GOP Reps. Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene, as well as Kari Lake, who lost the recent Arizona governor’s race.
