Karnataka: BJP chief JP Nadda to visit poll state today:
BJP national president JP Nadda will arrive in Karnataka on Monday (April 24) for a three-day visit ahead of the state Assembly elections. He will participate in a roadshow in Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapura district. He will also pay a visit to the Sirsi temple in Uttara Kannada district and address several public meetings.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will meet his Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee today:
The meeting between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday (April 23), has been postponed to Monday (April 24). Nitish will meet the TMC supremo in Kolkata today.
President Droupadi Murmu to visit Haryana on Monday:
President Droupadi Murmu will visit Karnal and Hisar on Monday in Haryana, according to an official statement issued on Sunday. The President will attend the 19th Convocation of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – National Dairy Research Institute at Karnal. While in Hisar, he will attend the 25th convocation of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, according to a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Eight more services on Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 from Monday:
A Maha Mumbai Metro official said on Friday that eight more services will start running on metro lines 2A and 7, taking the total number of services on the route to 253, PTI reported. This increase will ensure that there is a service every 7.28 minutes, compared to the current 7.50 minutes, although the peak hour frequency will remain at 10.25 minutes, according to a statement from Maha Mumbai Metro.
The expansion of the service was done to meet the growing demand of the route and to improve the passenger experience by reducing the waiting time, according to the statement.
Pakistan: Imran Khan’s party will launch an election campaign in Punjab province
Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party announced on Sunday that it will officially launch its election campaign in Punjab on Monday, although no date has been set for polls in the strategically important province. “Tomorrow, the Tehreek-e-Insaf will officially launch its election campaign.” They (Pakistan Democratic Movement) may not be ready but we are,” PTI General Secretary Asad Umar said on Twitter.
