Trump lawyers seek meeting with AG Garland over ‘unfair treatment’: ‘Injustice in progress’

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers are asking for a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland, saying Trump is being treated unfairly.

Trump’s lawyers sent a letter to Garland on Tuesday.

“We represent Donald J. Trump, the 45-year-old President of the United States, in the investigation currently being conducted by the Office of Special Counsel. Unlike President Biden, his son Hunter and the Biden family, President Trump is being treated unfairly.” says the letter “No President of the United States, in the history of our country, has been baselessly investigated in such an outrageous and illegal manner. We request a meeting as soon as possible to discuss the ongoing injustice being perpetrated by his attorney special and its prosecutors”.

The letter comes as special counsel Jack Smith has been working to wrap up his investigation into the classified Trump documents case in recent weeks, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
