TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – According to Lt. Farley of the Tulsa Police Department, a man died in a suspected drowning incident in the early morning hours of June 11th.
The incident happened in Whiteside Park near South Pittsburg Avenue and East 38th Street.
Tulsa police say three men in their twenties went to the Whiteside Park pool early this morning while it was closed.
Police say it was likely all were consuming some form of alcohol.
Two of the men left for an unknown reason and for an unknown period of time. When they returned, they found the third man unresponsive in the shallow end of the pool.
CPR was administered and EMSA was called around 5:39 am
The man was pronounced dead at 6:16 am
Whiteside Pool will remain closed until at least Wednesday due to this incident.
No other information has been released at this time.
