A woman was shot to death in an apparent domestic situation Monday night.
Brandi Marie Genova, 33, was found shot to death at a home at 13 Bestview Avenue, Bessemer, in Lawrence County, according to state police.
Michael Joseph Work, 33, has been arrested and charged in connection with her death.
State police in New Castle were notified by Work’s family, who told them he had shot Genova, his girlfriend, at his residence, according to a state police report.
Troopers and Bessemer Borough Police went to the home on Bestview Avenue and found Genova dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Work was stopped at the Union Square shopping plaza in Union Township, Lawrence County, without incident, according to state police. He was charged with criminal homicide and booked into the Lawrence County Jail without bond.
State police continue to investigate.
