LISBON – In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Matthew R. Jennings, 43, Sharpsville, Pa., was sentenced to 10 months in prison for attempted involuntary prostitution, a fourth-degree felony; 14 months in prison for attempted sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony; and 60 days in jail for OVI, to be served concurrently and designated Tier II sex offender.

Jennings solicited sexual conduct with a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as an adult woman and a 15-year-old girl in exchange for $240, plus 35 extra dollars to drink with him first, and arrived at the meeting on October 2 in the East. Palestine Jennings allegedly told the officer he had to be careful to protect his nursing license, according to the affidavit.

Also in the court of common pleas:

– Alex L. Porter, 38, Albright Avenue, Columbiana, was sentenced to three years of community control, including six months in the Eastern Ohio Correctional Center, for obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony. Porter gave police a false name while a passenger during a traffic stop on March 30, 2022 in Columbiana and ran after being told to get out of the vehicle. He also possessed methamphetamine and fentanyl-related compounds.

– Michael A. Faiola, 39, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to attempted accessory to commit a felony, a fourth-degree felony. Faiola was originally charged with unlawful transportation of drugs into a detention facility, a third-degree felony, for assisting someone in sending a drug of abuse to the Columbiana County Jail on March 7, 2022. S’ faces 18 months in prison, a $5,000 fine. and a driver’s license suspension of up to five years. The sentence is set for September 22.

– Loren C. Webb, 44, Cleveland, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated drug possession, a fifth-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, and was sentenced to 12 months in prison on each count, to be served concurrently with 23 days credited. Webb was found in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and a fentanyl-related compound on July 24, 2021.

– William S. Davis, 34, North Market Street, Lisbon, was sentenced to three to four and a half years in prison for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for entering an occupied dwelling and causing great bodily harm to one victim, and six months in prison for assault, a fifth-degree felony, for causing or attempting to cause physical harm to an employee of a local correctional facility where he was being held on November 11, 2021. The sentences have been to fulfill consecutively.

– Matthew R. Hormel, 40, East Martin Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to 150 days in jail, with 114 days served, for violating his probation for misdemeanor domestic violence, child endangerment and intimidation.

– Roxanna Corbisello, 68, Lincoln Avenue, Wellsville, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended) and six months community control for misdemeanor attempted aggravated drug possession. Corbisello was initially charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, and misdemeanor drug possession for allegedly allowing drug trafficking on property she owned and being in possession of oxycodone and alprazolam on March 2, 2022.

– Carol S. Shultz, 65, Canton, stipulated to the terms and conditions of her probation treatment plan for a November 2022 sentence for possession of cocaine and aggravated drug possession, both fifth-degree felonies , and unlawful use of possession of drug paraphernalia , a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to prison at the Eastern Ohio Correctional Center until the plan is completed.

– Dustin L. Farnsworth, 40, Cannons Mill Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and six months of community control for attempted drug possession.

– Kirsten Burbick, 29, Riffle Road, New Waterford, was placed in a treatment plan for three years for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony.

– Kerry Lynn Appel, 51, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, was sentenced to three years in a treatment plan and community control sentence, served concurrently, and her driver’s license was suspended for one year for in OVI.

– Bryan M. Doss, 43, Bell Avenue, Columbiana, was placed in a treatment plan for three years and his driver’s license was suspended for one year for improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and OVI
