SANTA MARIA, Calif.- Tony Gonzales is a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association. He spoke before Congress in May in support of access to treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. Since then, there has been progress. Just two weeks ago, Leqembi received FDA approval. This treatment delays the progress of the disease. Gonzales says this treatment can add years to her life, which means more time with her family and grandchildren. HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania counties are bracing themselves for going without payments for some of the social services they provide as the state budget impasse between Gov. Josh Shapiro and lawmakers drags into its fourth week. CHARLESTON – An 11-year-old record for the longest longnose pike caught in West Virginia has been broken, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources announced. The record-breaking fish measured 53.62 inches and was caught by Rich Chapman of Ashton, W.Va., on July 3 in the Ohio River in Mason County, about 40 miles south of Parkersburg. The record was verified by Natural Resources District 5 Fisheries Biologist Jeff Hansbarger. Chapman used a live bluegill as bait. RIDGEFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) — A teenager has died after crashing into a New Jersey restaurant. Police say 19-year-old Yusuf Bakmaz was speeding down Broad Street in Ridgefield last Friday night when he crossed the center block, Bakmaz hit another vehicle and a stoplight before crashing into the Karden restaurant. DENNIS, Mass – A search and rescue operation is underway after a group of boaters crashed their boat into a jetty in Dennis Friday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.
