JK Sports & JK Outdoors, a popular local business in Fergus Falls, was taken away early this morning, according to a statement from store management.
At this time, authorities are still investigating the incident and a full inventory review is underway to determine what, if anything, was taken.
The attack was discovered this morning (Monday), shortly before 9, May 15.
Local law enforcement immediately moved to the scene to begin the investigation.
Brent Klinnert, co-owner of JK Sports & JK Outdoors, addressed the incident in a brief statement. “The officers are still going through everything, and it’s too early to say what’s missing,” he said, expressing concern about the situation.
“Our priority is to guarantee the safety of our staff and customers. We are fully cooperating with the authorities and hope to resolve this situation as soon as possible.”
The extent of the loss and whether or not firearms were stolen from the business is currently unknown as police are still actively working the case.
Klinnert and the agents added that more information would be released as soon as it became available.
No suspects have yet been named, and the Fergus Falls Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward.
