“So after 17 years I look back on special memories with Welsh greats and future Welsh greats.
“My grandfather and father nurtured my passion for rugby in my younger days, which has continued throughout.
“The opportunity to turn professional in the sport I love was a dream come true and to represent my home region, the Ospreys and the clubs in the region, namely Mumbles and in particular Bonymaen, who guided me in my favorite years, it was beyond special and something I am very grateful for.
“Many thanks to the squad and players who have been part of my journey, I wish you all the best for the future.
“To the fans, thank you for your support and for making the most special occasions even more memorable.
“To the people closest to me, my family, I couldn’t have done it without you.
“Through injury, loss and success, you’ve always been there and you will be there no matter what.
“Despite everything I’ve accomplished, my children will always be my greatest achievement.”
Tipuric, 33, made his debut in 2011 against Argentina and has been instrumental in Wales’ success over the past twelve years, winning four Six Nations and playing in a World Cup semi-final.
