At the risk of sounding dramatic, the And so The Season 2 trailer has shaken Manhattan to its core.
seeing Sarah Jessica ParkerCarrie Bradshaw uses her kitchen for anything, but extra storage is like watching a dog walk on its hind legs. The fashionista and author of Sex and the city she once joked that she only used her oven as a place to store sweaters. And then there was that night when her boyfriend Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov) thought it would be a good idea to have dinner at Carrie’s house and everything descended into chaos.
But that was then, and this is now. And now, Carrie knows how to make a poached egg.
The new trailer for And Just Like That Season 2, premiering June 22 Max, sees Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) with her jaw on the floor as she watches her kitchen inept friend make eggs. It’s not as big of a revelation as this week’s news the return of original Sex and the City star Kim Cattrallbut it’s up there.
“I repurposed my kitchen,” says Carrie. “Did you know that stoves aren’t just for storage?”
All of this seems to be part of his new outlook on life: “Life is too short not to try something new.” Here’s what executive producer Michael Patrick King told EW about the nine episodes. “A lot of Season 2 is an address to the reaction to Season 1 in my thought process,” he said. “‘Oh, it’s dark. Oh, really? This is necessary because the opposite of darkness is light, so this [season] it is light And if this was winter, this is spring”. … I didn’t see one tweet and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to change everything.’ It’s a sense of the zeitgeist.”

The trailer also sees Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) in Los Angeles with his new partner, Che Diaz (Sarah Ramirez), but that doesn’t seem to be going too well. (“I don’t know who you are,” she says to Che poolside. “Is there something you’re not telling me?”) Meanwhile, Charlotte seems to be having a blast drinking shots with the ladies, at the same time that also maybe return to the world of art.

And then, of course, there’s the Aidan of it all. John Corbett returns as one of Carrie’s most shocking past loves. “Sitting here with you is like 10 years…” he says before snapping his fingers.
