The White House says it inadvertently sent out guidance requiring guests who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to wear face masks and practice social distancing, despite the federal government ending the declaration of national emergency for the pandemic.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are inviting dozens of Division I, II and III NCAA men’s and women’s national championship teams to “College Athlete Day” to celebrate their victories in the White House
Earlier this week, the White House Office of Legislative Affairs sent an email invitation to members of Congress obtained by Fox News Digital requesting their attendance at the event. The email included additional logistical details as well as COVID protocols.
According to the White House email, while lawmakers are not required to receive one COVID test prior to this event, they will be required to wear a mask and social distance if they are not vaccinated.

4 MAIN MISTAKES EXPERTS MAKE ABOUT COVID DESPITE SAYING “THE SCIENCE IS BACK”
“Masking Orientation: Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask on White House grounds,” the email states [bold font in original email]. “Guests who are not fully vaccinated must bring one mask at all times i keep at least 6 feet away others while on the White House grounds.“
After the release, the White House told Fox News Digital that the COVID-related guidance in the email was out of date and included inadvertently. According to a spokesman, the White House may be planning to send the most updated guide in another email just before Monday’s event. It’s unclear whether the recipients of the original message received any kind of follow-up note saying the COVID guidance was out of date.
The White House email comes as hospitals and other healthcare facilities are increasingly shedding their masking rules with COVID becoming a smaller presence for most Americans in daily life.
Meanwhile, experts have questioned the effectiveness of face masks. A recent study published by the prestigious Cochrane Library, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, looked at the findings of 78 randomized controlled trials to determine whether “physical interventions”, including face masks and hand washing, reduced the spread of the respiratory tract. virus
The conclusion about masks undermines the scientific basis for masking, according to the study’s lead author.
“There is no evidence that it makes any difference. Period,” Tom Jefferson, lead author of the study, he said in an interview. Asked specifically about N95 masks tailored for healthcare settings, Jefferson said, “It makes no difference, nothing.”

GABOR A BILLION MASKS BOUGHT DURING PANDEMIC DESPITE NEW RESEARCH SUGGESTING NO HEALTH BENEFITS
The White House email also comes as more researchers are skeptical of the idea that the COVID vaccine forces limited transmission of the virus.
A recent study by George Mason University’s Mercatus Center concluded that COVID vaccine mandates in nine major cities did not appear to make a difference in slowing deaths from the pandemic.
The study came after a director of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer admitted in a hearing before the European Parliament last year that, at the time of its introduction, the COVID vaccine had never been tested to stop the transmission of the virus. according to a video from the exchange published by MP Rob Roos.
A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory panel said in February that it recommended no more than one annual booster of the coronavirus vaccine.
Biden previously attacked the unvaccinated against COVID for not doing the “right thing” and “it cost us all.” He accused them of causing “a lot of harm” by “making people sick and causing … people to die” and preventing “a return to normal”.

BIDEN SIGNS BILL ENDING NATIONAL COVID-19 PANDEMIC EMERGENCY
When announcing his vaccination mandates last year, Biden warned those hesitant to get vaccinated: “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.”
The federal government officially ended the public health emergency (PHE) of COVID-19 on May 11. The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services may declare a public health emergency under the Public Health Service Act. The PHE COVID-19 was in effect from January 2020.
Days before the end of PHE, the World Health Organization announced that COVID no longer qualifies as a global emergency, marking a symbolic end to the pandemic.

A few weeks earlier, President Biden signed a bill in April ending the national emergency declaration that allowed the government to respond to COVID with certain authorities it would not otherwise have. Those decisions came several months after Biden publicly declared that “the pandemic is over” in an interview last September.
