Political activist Robert ‘Say’ McIntosh dies aged 79

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Noted Little Rock civil rights activist Robert “Say” McIntosh has died at age 79.

He was the founder of Say’s Stop The Violence Organization and the Say McIntosh Foundation.

The McIntosh Black Santa Christmas Toy Drive takes place in North Little Rock

McIntosh’s family says his work will continue through the foundation.

His legacy included a Black Santa program at Christmas time, advocacy for residents of high-rise buildings,

Stop the Violent Homicide Crosses from being up until MLK Day

McIntosh also helped with the placement of memorial crosses to the victims of the violence at the corner of Daisy Bates and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive to Little Rock.

Let’s just say that McIntosh also had a restaurant and was known for his sweet potato pies. His family says his commitment to improving the lives of people in the community will continue.
