Breaking news came Monday as the Atlanta Hawks trade forward John Collins to the Utah Jazz for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick. This news comes after GM Landry Fields appeared on Dukes & Bell on Friday discussing the state of the team and the possibility of some pieces moving.
Collins has averaged 15.8 PPG and 6.5 total rebounds in his six seasons in Atlanta. His production, however, has declined over the past few seasons as his usage and shot attempts have declined.

Rudy Gay, 36, averaged 5.5 in 15 minutes per game in 56 appearances last season in Utah. He’ll either be a player off Quin Snyder’s bench or be used as a trade chip on a deal that expires after this season.
