Police are looking for a New York man who escaped from prison and is currently on the loose.
Police officials announced that Michael Burham, who was arrested for raping and killing a woman in Jamestown, New York, then robbing a couple and forcing them to take him to South Carolina, has escaped from the prison.

Police say people in the area should be vigilant, lock their doors and contact local police if they see anything.
Burham was being held in the Warren County Jail on $1 million bond.
He was arrested in South Carolina after a multi-state manhunt and faces charges in New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
Burham was arrested in May after a South Carolina homeowner received a tip.
The FBI said in a statement that “Burham was arrested near United Drive and Halfway Creek Road in the community of Huger, near the Berkeley-Charleston county line. He and no first responders were injured. Authorities credit an observant resident with seeing Burham near his residence in rural Berkeley County and calling 911. Responding teams used K-9s to track Burham.”
He was recently transferred to Warren County in June, where he was arraigned on several different charges, including three first-degree felonies; two crimes of kidnapping and one of theft.
