How much rain will we have on Sunday?

(WBRE/WYOU)—The National Weather Service has issued several severe weather warnings for Pennsylvania.

Periods of heavy rain and storms will arrive in our area on Sunday. In southern Columbia, we measured more than half an inch of rain by 9 am

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the entire 28/22 news watch area and flash flood advisories for Columbia, Luzerne, Lycoming and Sullivan counties.

A flash flood watch is in effect for the entire area until midnight, these scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain in the picture until Monday.

We also have a severe thunderstorm warning for the following counties:

Carbon County Columbia County Lackawanna County Luzerne County Monroe County Montour County Northumberland County Pike County Schuylkill County Snyder County Wayne County

Rain and storms will be heavy at times, and we will most likely see areas of localized flooding in rivers, streams, creeks and other low-lying, flood-prone locations.
