We’re excited to announce that Lindsey Underwood is joining The Post as the first breaking news editor in the Features department. He will lead a new team dedicated to covering breaking news in entertainment, fashion, media and politics within the Style section.

Underwood joins The Post from the Styles desk at the New York Times, where she edited news and business stories on a wide range of topics, including the creator economy, the world of reality television and celebrities. His breadth of knowledge of popular culture is evident in the stories he edited “Danger!” winnerschanges in the podcast industry and well, “breast tape.”

She started at the Times in the audience development team, then moved to Vogue to lead its social media strategy and eventually returned to the Times’ Styles desk as an editor. He previously worked at Slate and the Brookings Institution.

Underwood graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism. She resides in Los Angeles and will be based there. His first day is March 27. Join us in welcoming him to The Post.
