TUAFC are delighted to announce that the Club has agreed a loan deal for Plymouth Argyle midfielder Will Jenkins Davies.
Torquay-born Will, 18, makes an immediate return to Plainmoor after being part of The Pilgrims’ line-up on Tuesday evening as United fought to a 1-1 draw with their Championship opponents.
Endorsed by Wales at Under-18 level, Jenkins Davies is regarded as one of the most exciting young players at his parent club, with the player making 11 appearances and scoring 1 goal in Argyle colors to date.
Having earned a reputation as a free-kick midfielder and set-piece specialist, United manager Gary Johnson is delighted to secure the services of another highly-rated young prospect, and he hopes he will follow in the footsteps of fellow Plymouth midfielder Adam. Randell, who enjoyed a good campaign on loan at Plainmoor in 2020/21.
“I am very pleased that Plymouth have agreed to have Will Jenkins Davies join us on loan,” said Johnson.
“A midfielder who can play in the middle, or up front, or out wide, a Torquay lad who has a lot of energy and ability.
“We welcome you to Plainmoor.”
Will is expected to be in the matchday squad for this weekend’s pre-season friendly against Exeter City at Plainmoor (22/07/23 15:00 KO), with ticket details available HERE.
This move is subject to the approval of the FA and the National League.
